Best Poster Awards Presented at AMIA 2001

Washington, DC, November 7, 2001 - Among the many awards presented during the closing session of the 2001 Annual Symposium of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) were two given for best posters. The awards are presented for outstanding presentation of medical informatics based on clarity, content, presentation, and originality.
The AMIA Awards Committee presented awards for the Best Posters to:

First Prize:
Contextually Changing Behavior in Medical Organizations;
Carol H.F. Cheng, Stanford University, Stanford, CA.

Second Prize:
Impact of Basic Computerized Prescribing on Outpatient Medication Errors and Adverse Drug Events;
Tejal K. Gandhi, MD; Brigham and Women's Hospital.
