Job Description: A registered pharmacist who manages the information systems utilized by Princeton HealthCare System relative to medication management. Responsibilities: In conjunction with pharmacy staff and Information Systems Clinical Analysts, develops, implements, and coordinates the changes in functionality to the information systems utilized by PHCS personnel. Communicates to hospital personnel developments and changes in information systems. Attends meetings and/or committees comprised of other departments to facilitate computer changes that impact the computer system (i.e., PAC, Dialysis, Pain Management). Handles computer problems reported by users (RNs, RPhs, MDs) on a daily basis. Coordinates with information systems staff to resolve issues and/or re-design processing when warranted. Supervises and trains pharmacy staff in the use of the clinical computer system and other systems. Informs pharmacy staff of changes in information systems and provides in-services and training sessions to maintain skills of staff. Completes quality assurance of changes implemented by Information Systems Clinical Analysts. Maintains the Pyxis MedStation 2000 and Pyxis CII Safe systems. Processes requests for new users. Assists users with discrepancy documentation. Assists in the maintenance of the Charge Master via submitting additions, deletions, inactivation, and changes including J-Code maintenance. Qualifications: B.S. or PharmD from an accredited College of Pharmacy required. Current New Jersey license to practice pharmacy required. Three years recent hospital pharmacy experience or a pharmacy practice residency with one year of experience. Computer literacy.
Pharmacist Specialist
Joint Commission Resources, Inc. (JCR), the wholly owned affiliate of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, is currently seeking a Pharmacist Specialist to provide leadership and content expertise for the Joint Commission International Center for Patient Safety. This pharmacist position would focus on medication management and its impact on patient safety in order to disseminate knowledge to U.S. and international healthcare organizations. Additional responsibilities include collaboration in product development with all Joint Commission Resources/Joint Commission International product lines to create new products and services related to medication management. Ideal candidates will have a PharmD, with ten or more years of clinical and administrative pharmacy experience that includes a minimum of seven years of progressively more responsible experience in senior healthcare management or quality/performance improvement. Experience in a health care consulting role, academic medical center and/or pharmaceutical company, as well as fluency in another language is highly desirable. This position is based in the western suburbs of Chicago and would require up to 25% time in domestic and international travel.
Sr Project Mgr, Medical Informatics
Manages operational performance of Health Data Analysis and/or Underwriting functions. Manages actuarial health care utilization analysis, health care reimbursement analysis and specialized reporting system functions. May oversee underwriting analysis including pricing and risk selection strategies.
3-5 years relevant experience required. 6-8 years experience preferred. mainframe and PC programming knowledge required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 2-3 years supervisory experience. Medical term and coding system required. Actuarial concepts regarding risk and liability assessment preferred. Previous managed care experience preferred. A.S.A certificate preferred.

--Major Purpose
Performs complex project management activities under limited supervision related to Quality Improvement and Management, Legal and Regulatory compliance, Planning and Development while supporting continuous improvement and alignment with company strategies, goals, and objectives interpreting and developing policies, procedures and guidelines.
--Key Deliverables
- Provide project management support to quality improvement initiatives including ongoing population health management programs such as CAD, CHF, Diabetes, Asthma etc. Assure the maintenance of accurate documentation of all quality improvement activities, i.e., surveys, audits, peer reviews.
Provide leadership in the design and development of new health intervention programs as well as program effectiveness evaluation analysis.
- Coordinate and manage compliance efforts regarding DMHC, NCQA, CMS and state and federal quality regulatory requirements.
--Performs any or all of the following duties:
- Acts as primary facilitator, coordinator, and communicator for project team and as liaison for internal & external staff/clients.
- Oversees research, analysis, evaluation, and reporting on all aspects of assigned projects. Develops implementation plan and participates in or coordinates implementation of project.

--REQUIRED: Excellent oral and written communication. Strong analytic, project management, facilitation, and organization skills. Intermediate technical skills in the areas of statistics, finance, and/or data analysis. Advanced spreadsheet skills.

Job Skills/Requirements
Under general organizational policies and goals established by the Governing Board and the Hospital Director, directs and manages the development and implementation of clinical information services. M.D., board certified in psychiatry with a Kentucky Medical License or an R.Ph. licensed with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy. Extensive knowledge of current medical information technology and applications. Knowledge of RFP and grant development. Must possess strong program development skills, project management skills, analytical skills, and the ability to assess and integrate the needs of complex clinical and administrative systems. Must have demonstrated capability in developing collaborative approach to program development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to provide technical, medical and educationsal leadership to all staff. Excellent administrative, management, and supervisory skills. Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding health information services, HIPAA and JCAHO policies.
More than six years, including two years in-patient psychiatric hospital experience and two to four year's administrative management experience.
Assistant Director for Pharmacy Applications
The Assistant Director for Pharmacy applications will lead the team that is the primary liaison between the IS group, the pharmacy department and with vendors. Will support the pharmacy computer system, CPOE and interfaces with robot and unit based cabinets. Will supervise a staff of 9 pharmacists.
The main project currently underway is the implementation of CPOE. CPOE has been implemented with a bidirectional interface to the pharmacy computer system for 2 functional units and there are additional departments to complete.
